prometheus111 1 Posted June 20, 2012 It's likely you were in a server that hosted the beta but did not require it. Thus they could have been running without the beta and thus direct chat did not function for them. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Skaterkidd92 2 Posted June 21, 2012 I was using the beta patch, and so was the server. the newest beta patch. There has been an update, I am using 1.7.1.5 and apparently this is a common problemThe servers I have tried it on are all up to date on the beta patch as well as the Day z version. (at work right now so I can't)I can confirm this.I tried with a teammate on fr10 (1.7.1.5, yesterday), he was standing next to me, and wasn'table to read me via direct chat (And bafore that, I killed 3 guys who wasn't answering after I asked "friendly?" on the direct chat too...)
