Someone Help, cpu compability for My rig

Hi guys, i want to know something, i want to get an i5 2500k for my rig as of now i only have a small form factore pentium g645 dual core. My motherboard is a MSI H61M G3 mATX motherboard and my cpu is sandy bridge and im upgrading to a sandy bridge i5 2500k do i have to peform a BIOS update or get a new motherboard?

I dunno, if you have that bios on your mobo already then no. If you have a different bios then yes you need it.

Go press del on post screen and see what it says my man
