How do you join a clan?

Still fairly new to this, but the idea of having a group of people constantly raiding, who know what they're doing seems too good to pass up.

Is there anything specific clans look for when they recruit?

And on the off-chance, would anyone be willing to take on a fairly new player?

If not, no worries, but I occasionally write for a gaming blog (not that big, but a fair couple thousand views a day), and I'd be more than happy to write an article about the life of a true bandit in DayZ. Something that hasn't quite been done yet, and could earn a clan a fair amount of notoriety!
