How to update to 1.7.7

I'm having trouble getting updated to the latest patch 1.7.7.

I first tried with Steam, but 1.7.7 isn't available under my beta list; I just have 1.7.6.1, 1.7.5.1, and 1.7.6. I haven't seen any other information out there on how to access 1.7.7 via Steam. Is there a beta access code that needs to be entered?

I then tried the method described in the initial patch post, but I get caught up on that 4th step. I don't know what I need to do there. It seems to be required because version 1.7.6.1 is still showing up in Play With Six for me.

Patch

1. Download Patch Client Files and beta files from links above.
   
2. Navigate to your arma 2 operation arrowhead directory
   
3. Extract the @Dayz-1.7.7-Patch.rar into your arma 2 operation arrowhead directory and install the newest beta.
   
4. To start DayZ use a command line string like the below
   

Expansion\beta\ARMA2OA.exe -mod=@Dayz;CA;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -noFilePatching -skipIntro -nosplash -noPause -world=Chernarus

Any help is appreciated.

dayz commander does it all for you!

Use dayz commander as said above. It is literally a 1 click install for not only 1.7.7 but other maps you can try out as well as mods like 2017 etc.

Goto Steam then Library then right click on Arma2: Operation Arrowhead, and click properties.

Then click on Set Launch Options and add the following....

Expansion\beta\ARMA2OA.exe -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;@DayZ;" -nosplash -emptyworld

Click ok

Click on play Arma2:Operation Arrowhead.
