Fortifications?

Recommended Posts

So what's the word these days on fortifications... for the mod and standalone.

IMO... you can't have a zombie game without being able to build a defensible structure... ABOVE GROUND! I want to board up windows, move furniture... ect... just look a project zomboid for example, best survival zombie game if it wasn't still in alpha, so buggy.

Don't tell me they are still going with that below ground crap they were saying a year ago... Yes barb wire was ridiculous before, but that was only because people were duping them and they were too common. Its called game balance... do your job, don't cop out...

I agree with you.

I don't like the idea of underground bases whatsoever.

Moving furnature, eh, not really my thing. But boarding up windows would be cool.

The only problem I see with that, is DayZ is about surviving, not holding up and killing waves of zombies. Plus lots of players like to keep on the move, out of sight. I wouldn't be to keen on cornering myself in a house.

EDIT: I feel bases in DayZ should be like bases in Vanilla DayZ now. Nada, not there.

Everyone knows that the key to surviving the zombie apocalypse is having a strong talent for interior design. Zombies can smell ugly couches and poorly utilized living space from 10,000 meters.

If that's the case, it's a damn good thing I've stocked up on Malachite, Razzmatazz, and Gambog colored paints!

I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Above ground bases won't stay because you can't guard them long enough and somebody will find it within days but underground bases are too safe :/

How about a Flamethrower or some fiery cockntailz? Everyone knows zombies are afraid of fire.
