Spawn in the Middle of Nowhere

I just installed this mod, brand new, off of Six and, whenever I play the game, I spawn in this debug flatland with nothing but hills. I can't even use the map to find civilization since it's completely black when I open it.

I'm not using any other mods or anything, have the absolute newest patches for Arma, new installation (1.7.1.4), new battleeye, etc., etc..

What do I do? I'm not on Steam (I hate steam), it's all standalone.

Anybody?

I have no idea which way is which. The map is completely black, and I don't have a compass.

When I respawn, I'm still in the middle of nowhere.
