Question about swapping Main Weapons...

This has probably been asked a few times but I can't find an answer!

I have a CCO as my main weapon and an SVD Camo in my backpack. If I click open my backpack and move my SVD to active inventory will my CCO just move into my backpack? Or is the inventory system so crappy I will lose my gun? Not about to test this on my own.

Here's what you need to do:

Keep both weapons' mags in the main inventory.

Then, if you have the SVD in your backpack, always swap the one in your backpack to the main one. If you do it the other way around, the CCO will try to move the mags into the backpack and they will get destroyed unless you got more free space.

I've found it helps if you double-click on the backpack, and then click the right arrow next to the weapon:

It swaps the weapon in your backpack with your active weapon. Handy if you want to switch to the hatchet quickly (in fact, in the screenshot you can tell that I've put the hatchet in my backpack).

Here's what I do.

Open backpack

Click and HOLD on the gun I want to take out of my pack.

Drag my mouse over to my gun in my inventory (you should see the name of the gun in your pack being dragged over)

Let go of mouse

You're ready to go.

Whatever you do, don't put the gun from your inventory into your backpack first, as it will delete the gun in your inventory.
