any word if the standalone will be using anti cheat. Last i heard it was mentioned that VAC would be used ... but what about BE?

Well if DayZ is going to be on Steam I think the only Anti-Cheat allowed on Steam games unless built into the game would be VAC. And if Stand alone continues sales outside of Steam that might use BE.

That's false. The DayZ Staff chose to use VAC and not BattlEye... for whatever reason. I hope they add BE later though, otherwise the SA might turn into a cheat-fest, just with other types of cheats than seen in Arma.

I just hope they make standalone run better,because arma2/dayz and plantsiders 2 are the only games I don,t think my new laptop will be able to run,but then again worse laptops can run arma 2 so you never know.

also I think that they came out and said they would be using vac.
