Actions seem delayed

So I am fairly new to Day Z still and not sure if this is something that happens often, but I've noticed some things I do in game take a while to actually register. A good example would be one of my first firefights; I ran into a couple of people who opened fire on me and I returned fire. For a while it seemed like I had god mode on and could not die; I was getting hit and the screen turned gray but I had not loss in blood or broken bones. After about a minute or so everything finally resisted and I dropped to the floor bleeding and with broken legs. This delay also happens when trying to chop wood or drinking a soda. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Try switching servers. You latency could be high.

Server lag seems to be the issue. Try to find servers in your country or not too far away. For example, I live in the US but play fine on UK ones. I have some lag on AU servers. Balota Buddies has servers in the AU,UK, and US. To fit all your needs.

And also, about the screen turning gray. It is possible they missed, but very close to you. It has happened to me when someone missed a .50 CQB on me, round went right by my head and screen turned gray.

Basically the information being sent from your client to the server or vice verser is being delayed, can be caused by a bad internet connection to the server or maybe the server itself is overloaded with too many players or even too many custom scripts.

try different servers.
