My multiplayer crashes, help!

Well guys I've just bought the Arma 2 OA (Operation Arrowhead) as I've been wanting to play Dayz for sooo long as it looks like a great game, so I boot up my Arma 2 OA and all of the single player modes work absolutely fine, but when I click on the multiplayer option it just stays at the 'receiving....' option, so I've looked around and it seemed I couldn't find any help what so ever, so i installed 'DayZ' and the same problem occurs 'Receiving....' I'd be soo greatful you anyone could help me

What speed is your processor at? Due to ArmA being ArmA, hitting multiplayer (and leaving server selection) can load anywhere from 5 sections to 5 hours. If you hit enter/exit too quickly (like I do) to fly by screens, the game can crash.

I'm just on re-installing Arma 2 OA Due to steam being idiotic and crashing making 3 sets of copies for my steam files making no room on desktop -.-
