Physical Fitness, Dexterity and Agility along with more ways to traverse the environment

Perhaps a nice new feature for DayZ could be the inclusion of a Fitness system and perhaps some manner of Parkour. What I mean by this is the more you perform physically demanding abilities such as climbing, vaulting, sprinting and attacking with melee; the stronger and faster you become. Some of the benefits and could be:-

  • Vaulting could get faster until it doesn't hamper movement at all
  • The ability to climb up and over walls starting with 6ft and the fitter you get, up to 10/12 ft
  • The more often you sprint, the faster and longer you can go
  • Gaining strength by attacking with a melee weapon
  • The ''healthier'' you are, the less prone you are to infection and major injury, and the faster you heal naturally
  • Much longer and precise leaps, perhaps allowing you to fall from greater heights with injury
  • The more attack with melee, the more damage you'll do per swing

This system could also come with it's disadvantages however :-

  • Prolonged sprinting over uneven ground could result in leg injury
  • Climbing/vaulting whilst injured/in pain or carrying heavy loads may result in falling down and losing all speed and momentum and potentially resulting in broken bones
  • Colliding with the environment at breakneck speeds could result in unconsciousness

Any feedback on the idea would be greatly appreciated!

Interesting ideas for sure, but this would involve some sort of XP based system. Whereas DayZ has always been built around a solely gear based reward system.

I've read some where.

can't remember where.

that there will be like hidden skills in SA.

that WILL NOT affect combat.

when you die it will be reset.

if someone could link it that would be awesome.

I was thinking less XP based, and more hard work based if you know what I mean. The more you use a particular style of movement the better at you perform. It could even balance out the equilibrium between bandits and honest looters (and perhaps zombies). By that I mean that the honest looter, who moves around a lot, may be able to skilfully get away from and perhaps even rush a sniper without being trolled or get away from zombies, with practice. Personally, I thinks it adds a new layer of realism and a new play style to DayZ, but thanks for the feedback anyway! Much appreciated :)
