Hello survivors and bandits!

For the last few days i was getting this...need, on getting back to DayZ. I used to play it a lot for some months...but that was like a year ago (then i purchased a PS3 and well...my little spare time was redirected to that, obviously).

But now that the whole console hype is gone, i wanted to resume my life as a zombie survivor.

I would like to know a couple of things that were an issue by the time i was playing.

1) Due to free space i think i uninstalled the Arma 2 game (I'm at work right now...not really sure) and the DayZ Commander. Is it still a hassle to reinstall both games and the DayZ mod?

2) How is the situation working now with hackers?

3) I don't mind bugs, considering it's a free mod and it's in alpha, but out of curiosity...was the tent/vehicle saving bug solved? I remember that there were issues saving new gear inside a tent/vehicle when the servers restarted.

4) How about maps? I got to play Lingor Island, but i think i read that there were lots of new maps.

5) Any other suggestions to restart the game that you can give me...it would be great :)

I will answer you only one question and I mean the one about hackers. imo hackers are pretty much solved in 99% of cases, personally meet a hacker per 2 months

1. The install for ArmA is long as it's a 14gb game, but with DayZCommander installing and updating DayZ is simple.

2. Hackers are essentially non-existent on Private Hives and Whitelist servers.

3. Yes, pretty much.

4. There are quite a lot of maps.

5. Get yourself whitelisted to a good server, like Balota Buddies.

Once your back in you should check out my server :) info is in my sig, it is usually populated with about 15-20 peeps :) We have new anti hack program that other servers don't have because the person who created it hasn't really made it public so there are a few select servers that have it as of now, and we are one of them :) We also have a tavi server, it is called Planet F8L Taviana :) You can check that one out if your looking for something other then the regular cherno map :)
