'Wait for host' - Get this if I try to play anything that no on Chernarus

Hi all,

I get 'Wait for host' if i try to play any map that's not Cherno, or any mod (ie Breaking Point).

I have re-installed the Beta Patch, DayZ and the whole game on steam and still get 'wait for host'.

I think it may be because of some firewall or something to do with internet connecting with servers because I use Norton but I don't know where to set it so other maps are allowed and I cant see why I can play Cherno but not another map because of a fire wall....

Please help.

are u using dayz commander to launch the game?

dayz commander is the most convenient way to play this game, install the newest patches, updates, mods etc. it is official and not some hacked crap

ur problem may be that ur not launching ur game with proper launch parameters that are individual for each dayz mod variation (i.e. one for dayz, another for dayz breaking point and so on)
