Installed new Hard-drive...

Recommended Posts

I recently got an SSD in the mail that I had ordered and I have hooked it up alongside my old HDD. However now whenever I try to play DayZ I get the "Bad Serial Key" issue, and when i check the keys in regedit they are blank values zero length binary values.

I've tried all the fixes you can google. Please help. I'd like to get this fixed before the origins server I play on deletes all my houses with the items in them.

Edit 1: I've also tried every single fix on this site as well. Just thought I should add that.

You have no CD key, you need to either reinstall your game or manually add your key to your registry.

I tried reinstalling, and manually adding the key to the registry. Sadly neither worked out.

Is the game on the SSD? If so you'll have to move your entire steam library to the disk.

I've tried both ways, I had it originally still on the HDD, and that originated the issue, tried all the fixes for that. Then it wasn't working no matter what I did so I moved it to the SSD. Tried all the fixes here, nothing seems to work.
