JSRS Problem?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

So I've been having problems with JSRS lately. It always worked fine with ACE, but when I play DayZ with it, (on servers that allow JSRS) I can't hear shots over 200m. Anybody have an idea about how to fix it?

P.S. I have a 7.1 headset, and I'm going to try to switch it to 5.1 tonight, and see if that fixes it.

1) Are you using onboard sound or a dedicated soundcard?

2) Go into the sound configuration. I have ASUS Xonar, which adds a nice control panel to the toolbar, but in Windows 7, it looks as though you can go to Run > Type "Sound" > click it in the menu > (Click Speakers) > Configure and play with the audio channels to achieve most of the same thing.

3) Go into Arma 2, editor, and place a couple of bad guys (AS50 snipers?), preview, and have them shoot at you. If you cant do that, try the armory, and put a big truck close by.

4) Play with the # of channels in the sound configuration, until things sound good - both loudness, and positioning.

Hope this helps
