Dayz crashes when trying to adjust video opions

I have played dayz on my pc for a couple years now, just tried to install lingor on the laptop (first time dayz was on it) and I can play the game just fine--EXCEPT it's in super giant resolution... When i try to change resolution or video settings I crash to desktop.

asus laptop, gtx 660, 8 gigs ram, newest drivers for all

You tryed changing it on the main menu and not ingame?

Changing the screen resolution to 1366×768 in main menu would be an idea. If the problem still persists with the tiniest little changes like brightness or gamma, you may need to re install arma 2 and operation arrowhead then try testing it on a wasteland server in case the problem continues, you never know the mods could be causing a problem for the game.
