DayZ Lag Spikes Every 2 Seconds. [FIXED]

Recommended Posts

Computer Specs:

RAM: 16GB

Proccessor: AMD Phenom x4, 3.5GHz

Graphics Card: AMD XFX 7770

PSU: 750w

OS: Windows 8 Pro

I Have Tried Reinstalling, Updating Graphics Drivers Etc. Nothing Is Working.

And Before Anyone Says "It's Because You Are Running Windows 8" It's Not.

When I First Installed Windows 8 It Was Fine, Then I Stopped Playing For A While, Updated And Started Playing The Other Day And, Boom. Lag Spikes Every 2 Seconds.

See Here On What It Looks Like: https://www.youtube....h?v=YO6hvLW8RRg

My Computer Used To Run The Game on Ultra Settings With 35+ FPS.

And Advice Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

try playing more, on many different servers

maybe it was just a one time occurrence.

-edit:

maybe defragmenting hard drive will help.

This Is On All Servers, I have Tried Playing On Multiple Ones. And I Just Defragged My Drive Not That Long Ago, So I Don't Think This Is The Issue.

Define lag spikes, every two seconds..?

Because lag spikes usualy last around a few seconds, meaning you're just getting solid lag, correct?

Watch The YouTube Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YO6hvLW8RRg Thats What Is Happening, My FPS Is Like 45 Then It Drops And Goes Back Up Again, Then The Same Happens Over And Over.

Whats youre Hardisk drive? Im guessing NOT SSD.

Try ramdisk

Also is this happening right after you joined a server...then it continues, or do you play for awhile then it happens?
