Freezing for ~5 Secs on Key Press

Hi all,

It seems that about 20 minutes or so into gameplay on any server I join, I begin experiencing freezes whenever I press a key to move or open gear, or even to activate chat. I don't get the bug when I simply move the mouse or actually type a message in chat.

Windows 7 x64

6 Gigs Ram

Nvidia GT 640

Intel i3 3220 3.3 GHz

Not the best system, but I get decent framerates before the keystroke-freezing inevitably happens.

I've tried reinstalling both ArmA 2 and OA, as well as DayZ.

Searched all over for an answer to this problem, closest one I could find to one that kind of relates to this problem states that I need to rollback to an earlier nvidia driver, but considering this game came out in 2009(?), I'm not sure when to rollback to, or which driver broke it, if indeed that is the problem.
