Skipping back to previous position

Installed version: 1.7.1.4

What happened/Where/What I was doing:

I keep getting a problem of skipping back to the same location every 5 minutes or so.

Most recently, I was at a small pond under a train bridge at Chernogorsk. I tried to refill a water bottle about 10 times, and it was not filling it or giving the "You need to be close to a water source" message. So I "whatever"ed and kept moving on. About 5 minutes in, I instantly end up back at the pond while all I was doing was running... Hmm, ok move out again. 5 minutes later, teleported back to the pond again. This has happened 3 times.

A separate, earlier time after about 45 minutes of playing 1.7.1.4, I was at a small building on the west outskirts of Elektrozavodsk. I tried to pick up a hatchet, but it wouldn't let me. So I kept going and entered a gas station maybe 350m away, and then it jumped me back to where the hatchet was.

It seems like an error with the actions interface since both instances occurred when I was trying to interact with items/inventory.
