Lag Spike Every Couple Seconds.

Recommended Posts

I have had this problem for a pretty long time and have never found a solution. When playing, almost every other second, the game will hiccup and lag/freeze for maybe half a second. I can run the game on very high settings and get 60 fps with the lag spikes, or the game on very low with 60 fps, and still get the lag spikes.

My rig:

AMD FX-8150

8GB RAM

GTX 560 Ti

I have all of the latest drivers for my graphics card and all of the latest versions of dayz and arma and whatnot.

updated with an image of what my gpu is doing while i play.

no actually, my connection is fine

...is it only on one server, or? Do you zoom in while playing 3rd person a lot?

no this happens in every server I play in. If i watch my GPU output on my other monitor, instead of being a flatline like I would expect, it goes up and down (not too much) every second.

Every other game i play the gpu output would just flatline at a percentage as the game was played.

I had the same issue, and found it was a hard drive issue, not reading/writing fast enough.

I installed a ramdisk and that fixed it.

Now I am running a SSD.
