FONwTh DayZ Chernarus

Just a little background

The FON DayZ server started a few months back.. In the beginning it was just a few friends wanting their own server to play on.. Once it got started it was great.. But then we all started to want more out of it.. We started looking into cool things we could add (Since a few of the members were good with scripting and all that stuff). Once we seen the options we sort of went crazy, thus morphing the server into what it is today..

Features!

rMod2.1 - In order to join and play on the server, you will need to have rMod2.1 installed. We've decided to switch over to 2.1 for many reasons, including all the new weapon options aswell as the vehicle options. There is a guide on our forums if you need help on installation and where to get it.

(There will be some screenshots, maybe a video, below to show all the new additions.)

Custom Crash Sites - Crash sites can now spawn some of the best weapons, along with the spawn rate raised a bit. (Still need to be re-done)

Custom Buildings - Many of the towns and airfields have been edited, new buildings have been placed all around the map. (Over 1000, including the bases)

Custom Loot Tables - We've fully edited the Building Loot Tables. We added in rMod2.1 weapons, as well as raised the spawn rate of others.

(Please note, these are not the real spawn %, those were in there for testing. Aswell as more rMod2.1 weapons later on.)

Custom AI System - Our AI system consists of Dynamic, which will steal players vehicles and helicopters, loot players bodies, have great tactics, Both Hero and Bandit squads(Basically another player in a way) And our Statics, which are placed in specific areas in order to guard and patrol that location, which also use good tactics. All of our AI are fully kitted out with good guns and are fully lootable.

Custom Bases - There are a few custom bases added around the map for players to take over and call their own. (12+ currently, more in the future)

Random Spawn Loadout - When you spawn into the server or respawn you will have a custom loadout, this loadout will be random, below there will be the loadouts you have a chance to get.

200+ Vehicles - There is about 200 wheeled vehicles on the map, ~20-25 Helicopters, ~10 tanks/APC's.

Strippable Cars - If you have a toolbox in your inventory, you an go up to any Vehicle and select which part you would like to remove, it will be placed in your inventory for use elsewhere.

Auto Re-fuel - You can now drive up to any Gas tank or pump and refuel your car/helicopter.

Lifting and Towing - Once you have a have a vehicle that has the ability to tow others, you will be able to attach it to the back. Same with a helicopter, you will be able to lift almost any car.

Self Bloodbag - If you have a bloodbag in your inventory, you have the option to Bloodbag yourself.. Yes it will take a bit longer, about 30 seconds, plus the chance to get an infection. But you no longer have to rely on another player.

Full Moon Nights - No more running around aimlessly in pitch black, you will now have the moon light to guide you on your adventures. (Currently GMT-9)

Clean Streets - No more useless clutter along the roads or in towns.

Street and House lights - Street lights and house lights will now come on during the night cycle.

Bridge to Skalisity - There is now a bridge that connects the main island to Skalisity Island, soon there will be a military base, but that's still a WIP.

Custom Anti-Hack - We now have our own custom Anti-Hack, no need to worry about hackers anymore!

Though could I suggest adding the weight mod? Also I thought it was GMT -10...

Yeah, Washington DC server node is getting DDoS, server will be down for a few hours.

The server is finally back online, but we are working on adding in a few new features.. So it might be up and down for the next few hours.

We are currently doing a lot of work to the server. Some of the things we are doing is Adding rMod2.1, redoing custom loot tables to incorporate rMod2.1 weapons, adding in rMod2.1 vehicles. Plus more, be sure to stop by in the server some time and check it out!

Server had officially been moved over to Rmod2! I will update the post here shortly with some more details, but be sure to install rMod2 and come join us!
