Hosting a LAN server or playing Single-Player

Hey, I've just got The comprehensive edition of ARMA 2 (The with all of the expansions) and I'm wondering if I can play single player or host a LAN server.

I've had little luck with dedicated servers, most of it is beyond me.

If anyone could help I would be much appreciative.

Nope, DayZ is central server dependent online multiplayer only.

However, if it's co-op zombie killing in ARMA 2 you're after, I'd point you towards the excellent zombie co-op missions by Cellery called The Chernarus Apocalypse. There's also a single player mission called Dawn Of The Apocalypse. There's also loads of other zombie themed mods / missions for ARMA 2, but the quality varies wildly.

Would really appreciate a link to said SP/Coop. It would be awesome to have a saveable version of this where I can dick around on my own terms and be left alone when I want to be anti-social and also play DayZ
