Good computer , Low FPS

Hello , i've got a pretty good PC.

GPU : AMD Radeon HD 6850

RAM : 4GB

CPU : Intel core 2 quad Q8300 2.50GHz

And my fps is :

Cherno and big cities : 8-18 FPS

Outside big cities : 30 - 40 FPS (40 is when really really far away from cities)

In normal cities : 20 ~ 25 FPS

and its annoying.

in cherno i cant play!

i changed the GPU stuff in the .cfg file to 1

changed everything to low

disable post-proccess effects

AA - Disabled

Drivers are updated

vsync - disabled.

and it still have low fps.

Please help me.

(Video memory = Default , i use these launch parameters : -CpuCount=4 -maxmem=4096 -winxp -exThreads=7)

the clock speed on your CPU is pretty low what settings are you playing on 30-40FPS is pretty good for that setup everyone gets huge FPS drops in cherno electro even the best rig will drop down to 30-40FPS

my current CPU handles what i want , im happy with him.

currently i dont have enough money to upgrade Motherboard , CPU and all of what i need to.

It's your CPU that will be struggling mainly, it was a decent processor when it was released (And for a while after that) but it's at that point where it is ~5 years old and getting a bit outdated.

Arma II is a (But mainly the DayZ mod) VERY processor intensive game and can make even the best machines a little sluggish at tims

I don't think you'll get it running much faster, if at all, with your current system.

Best get saving then, if you want DayZ to run with a better FPS.

CPU needs upgrading - pure and simple.

Your GPU is fine and shouldn't really bear much difference in FPS (in regards to DayZ Mod anway)

The desktop I ran had a Powercolor 5xxx series and it always had a playable FPS - but I was running a Phenom II 3.4GHz Black Edition as well.

You can pick up a phenom II for 70 quid if not cheaper :)

Setting maxmem to anything over 2047 is a waste of time as Arma will default back to 2047 if you do so.
