Dead Chicken

Actually...NOT a dead chicken! I was hungry needing meat so I tried to kill a chicken with my axe and couldn't! It was in range, in fact I ran into it twice but couldn't kill it. Cows and pigs yes, not so much with the chicken. Can they be killed and eaten?

I thought it may be a bug. The chicken would run while I was "ranging" my axe, but when I got right up on it it sat still and wouldn't die. Zeds were closing in so I left.

Can you kill anything with your hands?
