Server trouble

When I double click on DAyZ Commander to open it, it brings up all of the servers like it should. But when I click on a server, it opens up ARMA 2 OA, and says "Bad Version, Server connection failure". So the I proceed to go to the Day Z multiplayer window and open it. Then I browse through the servers and most say I can't play because of the wrong version, but I have updated my version the the newest one, And when I do find a server, My gear doesn't follow me to that server, So I have to start all over.

Are you sure you're not trying to connect to a server with another map? If you are connecting to a server that runs Taviana, you need DayZ Taviana to be installed. This can be done through the commander.

If this is not the case, could you please include a screenshot of your Commander with the Install/Update section opened?

For the issue about your gear not transferring over the servers; The official hive has been updated and some of the official hive servers have not been updated yet. You have to wait for the admins to update.

Not only that make sure that your Arma 2 is also up to date along with the custom map your planning on playing
