2 Versions of my character on Public Hive Servers?

Recommended Posts

Greets,

So the issue I'm having involves my character persistence across public hive servers. Several days ago my toon seems to have split in half from where I logged out North of Elektro in the hills. I currently have 2 versions of the same character running independently of each other, with both of their progress saving independently as well. Every day when I log in the game gives me the alternate version of the toon than I played the day before. So Monday I get toon 1, Tuesday toon 2, Wednesday toon 1, Thursday toon 2, and so on. I've checked the servers I've played on and they were all running @dayz and @hive. I even limited my play to just a single server to see if that would fix the issue but it has not. I still get the alternate versions of my toon on alternating days. My answers to the required questions are as follows, minus my system specs because I don't think that's relevant at all:

Steam Version

Arma OA Beta Patch

Version - 1.62.103419

1.7.61

Launching with DayZCommander and Steam

OS: Win7

I've searched the internet and the forums and can't seem to find any information on an issue like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't really care which toon I keep, but I would like to avoid killing them both off as I have made good progress with both over the past week.

Many Thanks.

It's an issue between the changing between the "new" HIVE and "old" HIVE. They recently did some server maintenance and have switched to a new hive, although, many servers have not been restarted in order to actually acquire these settings. You're probably just playing two servers where one or the either are on a different hive.

ok, thanks, that makes sense.

So I guess basically I just need to hang tight until the switch is complete and see which toon sticks.

Much appreciated!
