Can you die in green field?

So all DayZ players know about the dreaded green field!:( But my friends told me today that when you are in there, your body is active in where you are going to spawn? Is this true so you can die when in the green field? cause sometimes I abort in the airfield? and I could be standing there like a sitting duck? cause I certainly will not be disconnect anywhere hostile again?

the "debug plains" are actually part of the map.

if you have enough drink and food, you _could_ run back to chernarus, if you run constantly east, it will take several hours though. i havent yet managed to survive the plains, i always died from hunger and dehydration before reaching the "official" part of the map, but i know other people had the luck of spawning there with enough provisions to make the run.

it is however not an easy task, and usually its better to log out and log into another server, which most probably will spawn you at one of the default spawn points

I mean when you, get disconnect and try again and double tap esc, and are presented with nothing but a green field.? I'll get a screenshotxD

That's definitely the debug plains. It has something to do with the server timing out I think.

I've only met the same fate there as e47 since you spawn about 20 km west of everything. If you decide to make the run, zombies also spawn there so you might try killing them for some extra sodas or beans.
