JustPickles 2 Posted May 11, 2013 Data file too short 'C:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead/@dayz/addons/dayz_sfx.pbo'. Expected 32661096 B, got 29325999 BI have received this multiple times when trying to connect to any DayZ server. I mean literally, any it is simply that bad. This had been odd, I've uninstalled, and re-installed dayz multiple times, and updated it and such, and it says "latest." I've had Dayz since maybe November of 2012, and it worked just fine on my shitty laptop up until around January of this year, and I can't seem to fix it, for months it worked, and now it won't. What's up? Can anyone help me out here?

Does it matter that I'm running the worst operating system in the world? Windows Vista?
Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted May 11, 2013 (edited) When you open properties it should be the third tab of the top ones listed in the grey box Edited May 11, 2013 by Steak and Potatoes
nik21 287 Posted May 11, 2013 Doubt that steam's verification will repair it as the file is not part of the actual game.Easiest way would be to completely delete your @dayz folder, create a new one and then extract the full 1.7.6.1 Client (http://fr1.dayz.nu/) to your @dayz/ Addons folder.
