Requesting Authentication Timeout - Frustrating Players

Recommended Posts

Greetings fellow admins,

For the past 3-4 days, I'm experiencing a problem where my players are getting stuck at "Requesting Authentication" and then they get "Oops something went wrong . . . ."

To resolve this, I have to restart the server. I already routinely restart the server 2x daily. However, this is now happening multiple times per day and is frustrating my players.

I noticed in another thread, that the Public Hive was updated/moved to new servers in the past few days. Could this be the source of the problem? Could I have something messed up in my BE filters or server config that could be causing this? Could this be a server resource issue that I need to report to my Host?

Any help and guidance would be appreciated.

Regards,

Splinter

There was some news posted on hive changes hope this helps-

http://dayzmod.com/f...e/#entry1313872

I saw that post and read through it. However, it seems like the hive move is complete and the expected symptoms had more to do with the time rollback.

I had the same problem again last night. It seems like this happens after a bit of time with a heavy server load.

Thanks for the reply,

Splinter

This is caused by the server being under heavy load, there is really nothing that can be done. There is a like on opendayz.net that talks about this I think would be helpful to you. http://opendayz.net/...ease-help.9186/

Bondue, thank you for this link. Glad to see I'm not alone with this problem.

Cheers,
