hi guys im looking to upgrade my gpu from my current ASUS radeon hd 6770 cu, to something with a lot more guts and have arround £200-£400 budget im pretty new to higher end gaming and just wondered what card to get NVIDIA or AMD, also apart from power supply will system hardware affect what gpu i can get?

If you're going AMD, get a 7870. If you're going Nvidia, go for a 660ti or 670.

The only thing you need to make sure of is that your mobo has a PCI-E 16x slot. It will most likely have one, it just means the GPU will fit in the slot. Also make sure your PSU has enough power to run the new card. Most of todays high-end GPUs need at least 500w.
