graphel 9 Posted May 9, 2013 (edited) Hello all, I apologize if there is already a thread for this, but here goes.It only started recently, and it doesn't seem to be constant. I usually notice it when I log in at first. What it is, is an odd frame rate stutter. I get great fps, except that every... Maybe 15 seconds, I have around 5-6 seconds of lower frame rate. Significantly lower. It's not constant either, seems to mainly happen when I first start playing, though that could just be me getting used to it.My specs are as follows:ASUS m4a79xtdAMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2 GHzSapphire HD 7870 2gb GHz edition8GB of 1600 MHz RAM1 TB HDD @ 7200 RPMI suspect that it's a hard drive problem, though I am not certain. The game is not un-playable with this frame rate lag, but it can be a massive problem in some situations, so any help would be great! Thanks. =DiG= Zgraphz 84 Posted May 9, 2013 (edited) humm, try sticking dayz on a ramdisk. the 7.2k rpm hard drives don't really have the read and write speeds that arma 2 needs in order to play. um type in youtube, "how to run dayz on ramdisk" and im sure you'll get it. make sure your dayz commander launch parameters are correctly set Visit this website for more information: http://community.bis...rtup_ParametersOr you can go get a SSD and stick the entire arma2 game on it, then it would increase by 100 fold Edited May 9, 2013 by =DiG= Zgraphz
