"I survived the zombie apocalypse!"

Picture I took on DayZRP server~ also posted it on their forums.

I did better that day in DayZ then I had ever done before, given I am relatively new to the game. I was excited -- and as I sat there, and looked out at a zombie stumbling by in the distance behind me (you can see it in the image) ... I was suddenly very lonely. Now? I typically only play with my friend over Skype~ he rarely wants to play though, and I'm kinda obsessed with this game.

Definitely my favorite game though.

This game has provided me with so many emotions; elation ("I found a gun! YES! OMG I FOUND A GUN!") ... Anger (When someone shot my friend Nevar 45 seconds before I was going to meet up with him in game for the first time -- he had a gun and everything his first time playing. I killed the two guys though they got the first shot on me and I had to bandage with bandages out of their pack. M-16 accuracy to my (limited) experience with it in real life = amazing. Loli-pop it for the win~ ) ... Terror (half-blood, with a fire-axe, in Electro, with Nevar, crouching in the super-market with a ton of zombies wandering by as car-head-lights drive by outside.. that was about 15 minutes of paranoia, crouching in the back room watching all the doors! -- We eventually decided the foot-steps "sneaking up" on us were the infected wandering around outside..)

... this game gives me a lot of emotions that I've never experienced in the same game before~ Some games can make you sad, some can make you angry, or relieved, or happy... or paranoid, or terrified -- but this game? It does all of them for me, and I love it.

I also like how the only the game rewards those whom treat others well with the Hero Skin~ and I wish there was a female equivalent; crossing fingers for Stand-Alone.

I don't mind bandits; I think being a hero or a 'good guy' in a game that *allows* bandits is so much more rewarding then being a hero in a game where people are forced to cooperate~... after-all? If *everyone* is a Hero? No one is Hero.

I've played for a few months now. And I love this game.

... I hope that's an -option- in DayZ Stand-Alone.

"Killed him -- but my leg's broke. 35 minute crawl to the nearest town ... and there isn't even a hospital there. Guess it's over ... time to check out."
