Dragging incapacitated teammates prevents you from healing/bandaging them

A friend and I we're on a roof trying to draw out a sniper when he got hit in the chest and went down bleeding and incapped, cover was non existant where he was so i dragged him to a safer place.

When i dropped him, his character disappeared for me (could still see blood and he was still on the roof on his screen. I had to wait for him to get up of his own accord before i could attend to him, luckily he had enough blood to wait the incap out.

TLDR: dragging a friend causes them to disappear for you when you drop them, you will see them again once they wait out the incap timer
