Decara 18 Posted May 8, 2013 Why can't I join official servers?I want to try a good officla Vanilla dayz server but when I join one, I get a screen which shows alot of files. It basicaly says: ''insert ton of installed files and folders'' delete these files and folders. Dayz cant find a accepted key. Or something like that.I bought Dayz and all its expansions on Steam, do I have to bind the key still or something? Is there anything else I might be doing wrong? 2Xmatch 0 Posted May 8, 2013 if you have all the expansions you ahve to install arma 2->arma OA ->Arma2 PMC -Arma2 BAF, after completing each one you need to run the game at least once and at least load a game in the armory. Everything else is solved by DayZ commander
Decara 18 Posted May 8, 2013 So basicaly, what you guys are saying is.Install Dayz commander (done)..Then you go to the install/update tab, from there you resintall arma 2 (on top of the list, beneath the dayz commander tab).Do I also have to download all the ''mods'' that are listed in the install/update tab?Is there anything else I need to know? And 2xMatch, what do you mean that I at least have to load a game in the armory? I already ran all the seperate expansions and the main game in steam, but I dont get what youi mean by load a gmae in the armory.
Decara 18 Posted May 8, 2013 What does it mean if you are not whitelisted? Does that have to do with the Cd-key thingie?
joinnkakashi@gmail.com 31 Posted May 8, 2013 A Whitelisted is a private server and it's a tool to keep hackers to a minimum. Your GUID is whitelisted never your CD Key
herrjon 478 Posted May 8, 2013 Don't worry about the armory thing, you just need to run them to the title menu. Just reinstall dayz via dayz commander and update Arma II beta. You don't have to download the other expansions unless you plan on playing those. Not sure precisely what your problem in, but that irons out most. Maybe telling us which servers you are getting this error on would help.Whitelisting is only allows approved people in, and uses your GUID, not your CD key. person915 345 Posted May 8, 2013 1. I thought public hives were getting shut down soon due to lack of management required to run them and abundance of private hives.2. Judging by your ability to ask ridiculous questions you don't know much about ArmA (which is fine, but I digress), so you might be missing something very early on and not knowing it's wrong. In other words, we need a more detailed description of things.First, I would recommend downloading DayZ Commander as you have done, ONLY installing the beta patch and the DayZ patch in the install/update section. Then, try joining a private hive server. If it works, then something is wrong with the hive. If not, it's on you.If it's on you, check to see if it says @DayZ at the top right part of your monitor when you start up ArmA. If not, go to Expansions, and enable beta, expansion, ArmA II, ArmA II Operation Arrowhead, BAF Lite (in fact, ALL the "lite" expansions you have). Then, restart the game like it will ask you, and try it. If it still does not work, post your progress and findings back here.
applejaxc 2500 Posted May 8, 2013 It saying that the mods you use (which don't make your game vanilla in the first place, so your thread is kind of.... stupid) aren't certified by BI with .bikey files, or that you didn't put those keys where they should be/deleted them. Get rid of all your addons, disable addon folders except @dayz, and try again.
