jimmy_quidd 2 Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) i've been playing dayz since the first week, the evolution is just incredible, from the first versions till the breaking point mod for example (i'm playing this mod lately), another proof of Arma's Modding capabilities, i like all the elements of the game practically, but there's one thing i couldn't like, only one aspect of the zombie spawn system, their ability to spawn in a closed area, even if u cleared it and built barriers and walls all over the place, i mean, what's the point of building a base with walls if they're able to teleport in without knocking? i know the base construction feature was intended for pvp, and it rocks, but i don't understand how i'm suposed to defend my base from human targets if a zombie is capable of spawning right at my back, don't misunderstand me, i love that, but when u spend 2-4 hours to gather all materials to build a base with "very big walls" u expect them to work, then u see how easy is for them to get in, it's like "i've been wasting my time!!!".Give them at least the possibility of bringing down the walls . Very unrealistic in my opinion and it ruins one possible aspect that i hoped for, the strategic idea of players bringing down their enemies walls for the zombies to come in (walking dead style :D ) Edited May 8, 2013 by Hassas

beatSTV 631 Posted May 8, 2013 you've been playing the single player version of breaking point and you've been base building in it......
Acix 132 Posted May 8, 2013 hahahahaha... Single Player Breaking Point and Base Building? Far be it for me to judge but I dont see the point in SP DayZ, let alone going through all the trouble of base building in it. Furthermore , you've been playing since the first week of the mod and have posted 2 times on these forums both in this post?

Sutinen 635 Posted May 8, 2013 (edited) I have a little tip for base building: The zombies look bushes and trees as normal objects, right? If you just create some sandbag wall, they will find the best path inside your place and run right trough. Now if you carefully create a small gap between a bush and a sandbag, so you can barely go trough it, they wont be able to get in. I guess they will "try" to go trough it, but wont be able to, because the bush is "blocking" the way. Edited May 8, 2013 by Sutinen
