Greatest tent find ever on dayz?

My friend and I were on Panthera and we were running around the northern airfield, by arnoldstein. After a few minutes of being logged on we stumbled upon a very well hidden tent with the tip of its corner sticking out of a rock.

It took us ten minutes to find the sweet spot to enter this tent, but what sat inside was well worth the trouble. Inside there were two as50's with 15 m107 rounds, 2dmrs and mags, rangefinders, coyotes, nvgs, m9 sd's, and all of the works. We took what we could and ran.

Cool find. I once found an SA80 with thermal sights, NVGs, Ammo and AS50 in a tent on a public hive server.

tent city on skalisty, must have been in late summer last year.. roughly 30 tents, with dozens of each possible weapon (including i think eight AS50 TWS), radios, mountain dews, two tents full of satchel charges, 5 tents full with jerry cans.. used that tent city for a few weeks to regear and fix choppers until the server went down..

other than that, found a fortified tent city on north-eastern edge once, must have been a hundred sandbags to fortify it.. maybe fifteen tents, but only normal average loot.. assault rifles, grenades, satchel charges, tank traps, sandbags etc.

gad been crawling for allmost half an hour to get to cherno hospital. broken legs and low blood.. very low.. found a tent ful of rabbit meat, some morphine and a m14 aim.. it was christmas.

Tents will not be able to be placed in rocks and buildings and other retarded places.

Hackers used to spawn tents with 99 copies of each and every single item in the ARMA 2 engine.

Like e47s find, a tent grid way up north approx 10 x 5 with multiples of everything. Cant wait for duping fix/stand alone :)

The duping does sadden me.I find itdisheartening to find tents loaded with obviously illbegotten goods, while the most I ever seem to find is an AK variant.

I've been playing legit for over a year and have only once found an AS50 at a crash site.

Anyway, the best tent loot was one where I just couldn't get to a tent under a tree. No matter where I looked I couldn't access it. Found an URAL nearby, knocked that big 'ol bastard of a tree down but the tent still stood and I got meself a coyote pack + a bunch of other supplies.

My "Best Tent Story" takes place over a period of 6hrs of play. I started my character modestly, took an electro spawn, from which I had to run north for my life since there was a camping sniper and no loot in electro. So I headed north with only a makarov. Finally I found an enfield, but got lost on my way to Berezino. At this point I was on 3k blood and thought my character was done. Finally my luck changed; I found a heli crash near Polana with a DMR and 2 mags, win. I went to balota and got geared than went north through the woods looking for some camps (this was a public server btw) much to my surprise I found an ATV parked in a tree with NVGs and some other good stuff. Happy as hell I went farther north, closer to the debug zone. there I found a UAZ loaded with low end weaponry (AKs and M4s) and missing a wheel. Discouraged I headed south toward the dam that is way up north in the middle of the map. On my way only 500m away from the UAZ I spot the white pickup hidden in the middle of a hill. I go check it out (it was missing 2 wheels), and find it LOADED with ARs, 2 SVDs, and other stuff. I took what I could and moved farther away. Taking one last look over my shoulder I spotted a lone tent on the hill above the pickup, of course i went back and found it to loaded with guns, L85 HOLO, 2 m107s with 11 mags, m249 2 mags, cz 550, and some other stuff. Already to full on gear I wrote down the CHORDS, and planned to return later. Finally, thinking I was close to logging off, headed farther south now very close to the dam. However, I spot another ATV and 3 tents. I check them out and find them loaded with gear, m240, m14 aim, ammo, m4a1 cco, another l85 holo. So I load the ATV to the brim and head south. Luckily I had a few tents from the camps I raided so I set them up around the map using the ATV I found, I than headed back to the camp I found with the pick up and took all their stuff to. Satisfied I decided to return to the woods North of berezino to log for the day. Once I got there I parked the ATV and scouted the area. While scanning I spot a tractor burried in a tree, so I go to check it out. Along with the tractor I find 5 tents another, another SVD, m14, m16, ammo, food, GPS, G36c and a coyote. I didn't have enough room for 1 load so once I filled the parked ATV I went back for a second load. When I came up to the first tent and checked the gear I realized that there were more DMR mags than there had been before. My heart pounding I hit the deck and scanned around. there he was the camp owner dumping gear into the tractor, his back to me. I stood aimed with my DMR and squeezed off a round, he died a few seconds later (normally I won't KOS like that but I knew that he probably would if he found someone in his camp). With that I loaded the rest of the gear and logged for the night. So in one day I went from a zero to a fully geared character with 5 tent locations, over 15 guns, and an ATV. I thought that was a good day of tent raiding...Sorry for the novel that I wrote but I've been dying to tell people that story.

Oh the ol' days of 1.7.2.5, the worst month of dayz ever, where every single tent would dupe gear every restart no matter what and if you put a new tent down it wouldnt save. those were the days
