Need help with Arma 2

Hello i am new to this forum but not really to the dayz, i downloaded arma 2 and combined operations (pirated) to test it if my pc would able to run Dayz, which it can so today i brought Arma 2 and arma operation arrowhead from steam so as the point of this topic would i be able to use the cd keys that steam have givin me on the arma 2 i have downloaded before cause in my country and my internet is really slow and with limit so i would really like to avoid downloading arma 2 again so could i add the cd keys to the current arma 2 and i would be able to play legit servers? looking for some fast answer,

No.

ArmA II is installed into and runs from Steam's directory. Purchasing it through Steam would require you to install it into its directory.

I guess no. The pirated version you used uses modifided files. And this files will still be there even with your original key. Maybe you join a server and get banned... i would not risk it.

Download it over night or maybe you can rent a dvd version from a local Movie/games rent house or a friend.

Oh yes, and of course make sure you have uninstalled the pirated game. I can understand the logic behind what you did, but now that you have your answer, it's only right of you to remove it and either acquire it fairly or don't have it.
