How to record, render, upload in 1080p

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, so I have FRAPS, but my video quality doesn't seem to be super 'crisp' (720p, but my monitor is 1080p). Does anyone know of a way to capture in 1080p? And how to render and/or upload in 1080p using Windows Live Movie Maker (I can't afford any better program right now.).

Thanks,

Windows movie maker IMHO makes the footage look like poo, You can adjust your settings in fraps to higher quality

Thanks for the link Darryl.

And Steak, oooh I know. I'm probably just gonna have to save and get Sony Vegas or something. And as far as I'm concerned, I -think- my FRAPS settings are as high as they can go.

Trust me mate. Vegas is a bitch to use. I think saving it as an MPEG-1 and then uploading directly to youtube is better than using a 3rd party program

Oh? Cause I've used the trial and shit and I quite enjoyed it. But how do you save it as a MPEG-1?

I use Handbrake for rendering. Takes a little to understand how it works, but if so, it works very good.

Converts almost everything to mkv or mp4, which are the best video formats at the moment.
