ARMA2 not opening

Ok, I bought Arma2 combined operations a few weeks ago from gamestop as a digital download. I got everything installed, then got dayz Commander and installed both dayz and the arma2 beta patch. I followed the instructions for all installations. I don't have enough room on my desktop to fit Arma2 so I put it on a 2T External Hard drive. I was able to play dayz for a week, then today, I went to play some and arma2 wont start. I tried starting from dayz commander and starting from arma2 beta itself, but it shows the check boxes, checks eight of the ten, then just stops with no error or crash messages. I even reinstalled arma2 and dayz, but to no avail. What is wrong? Any ideas would be helpful.

I've tried deleting everything and reinstalling it, but nothing has helped, can someone help.

EDIT: So i deleted the batleeye.dll and scanned everything for malware according to similar posts, but it still isn't working. What can I add to help someone help me fix this, because I'm tired of banging my head against the wall.

now when you say you deleted everything, does that mean you deleted the crap inside your registry? you say eight of the 10 box's are selected. Which of those are and aren't selected? when you play dayz it should look like this (in the Expansion Folder on main menu inside arma 2) Things that should be checked/enabled Arma/Arma2OA/ArmaBritishArmedForces/ArmaPrivatemilitaryCompany/Expansions/Beta/DayZ (Map name you are trying to play) with Version # (example DayZ Panthera 1.8). once those are set up correctly, try to clean out your registry and make sure you run all the games first to make sure everything with battle-eye and you registry are updated... seems like an issue with battle-eye or your registry may have a corrupted file in it or maybe something got deleted. If this step does not work, in the future i sugguest you buy your games through steam, they keep an updated mirror of all the games/files you own so you hardly ever have to reinstall your games. go to arma2.com and look for the most recently updated beta patch, then afterwards go to battle-eyes website and look for the most recent update then try.

Ok, to clarify. When I start arma2, there is a gray rectangle that shows up in the middle of the screen. As the game loads, ten squares get checked off from left to right. I have watched It multiple times and it seems that when the last two boxes are checked, the game stops. What it should do is go to the full screen and show the Bohemia logo. I have started It with task manager open, and its as if the game loads, then when it is supposed to go to full screen, It just closes. I have no idea why this is. I have the most up to date arma2 beta and Dayz mod installed. I did uninstall arma2 OA and reinstalled it, I don't know if that deleted the registry. I do not get to the arma2 main screen. If more clarification is need go ahead and ask, because I really would like to play again

Open dayz commander, go to settings copy and paste all three path's into this thread

PS: i found out that i can eventually launch the game every hour or so, but once i quit the problem comes back and it's impossible for me to launch it again immediatly. i have to wait at least one hour. and still the game is pretty unstable when it launches
