DayZ lag problem, do I need a new graphics card?

Recommended Posts

I have no idea why it lags. I put it on the best display settings & it lags like crazy. Could it be because I need a better graphics card or a better processor perhaps? I have no idea. Please take a look at my computer specs. I'm also new to this game.

Here is my desktop info:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

System Model: s5-1260 (slimline HP)

Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.3GHz

Memory: 16384MB RAM

HDD: 700gb Free of 914gb

DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7450

Motherboard: H-CUPERTINO2-H61-uA TX (CUPERTINO 2)

Power Supply: Internal 270W (100V-240V)

Input Voltage: 100-127V/3A (50-60Hz)

200-240V/2A (50-60Hz)

Here's a link to the exact one that I have: http://h10025.www1.h...=c03154267#N101

Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Lag refers to high latency, I assume you are talking about grtting low frame rates.

Your system does not have enough processing power for max settings, your processor and video card are both entry level and not meant for high demand gaming.

Your cpu scored a bit less than mine. I've got a HD 6870 vid and half your ram. As far as I'm concerned you should be running on, at least, medium settings with no lag at all.

P.S how are you running this on a 270W PSU? Doesn't the vid use almost half that alone?

Yeah, I mean low frame rate. What processor should I get?? I don't know if getting a certain graphics card will fit into my desktop case just because it's a slim case.
