Wtf did I do wrong? Please help me!

Recommended Posts

SO I went into my config.cfg file with Notepad++ to make a new message when spawning into the server. Satisfied that my code and syntax was correct, I tried to load up my server. I got to "Host created," then an error pop up saying, "line XXX had "." was expecting "=" (or something similar). Scared, I restored the file to its previous state. I tried undoing what I did by hand. Every time I try to fix my problem, the "Line XXX" changes to a different line.

The second line of your motd doesn't need a comma.

Thank you.

I just copy-pasted (and edited what needed to be edited) it from another mission's .cfg and it seems to be working. Can someone tell me what I did that fucked it up though so I don't do it again, other than the comma?

message of the day should be all on one line, the comma seperates the lines,

so yours would be

motd[] = {

"Welcome to the Applejaxc Server!","Have fun!"

Really? Hmm. The example file I was using had them split up. Thank you. :)

My fix efforts, unfortunately, reset my server. Instead of sitting in Chernogorsk with three guns, I'm sitting in Elektro with a G17 and a SA50.
