Mi 17, how much fuel to lift off?

Recommended Posts

Just found a Mi 17, but I cant seem to lift off, I dunno how much fuel I need.

So anyone know?

The parts is in okish condition, most are yellow some are orangeish.

How much fuel does it need to lift off?

It will lift off even with jsut a little fuel but it will quickly need refueling or it will dropout the sky.

you need to repair all glasses, main rotor and vertical rotor to green. then you can refuel..

20 litres maybe take you as far as 1500-2000 meters to closest autorefuel station, but only advise that for an expereinced pilot :P

check the glass if it isn't 100% then fuel will leak that is why you probs can't get it off the ground

I find that the huey is better on fuel, the mi 17 guzzles it

Stick 2 or 3 jerry cans in a huey and you can go 3000-4000

Stick 2 or 3 in mi 17 and i would say half that

Really? no shit sherlock

I just say that dont expect to get as far in a Mi as you can in a huey on 1-3 jerry cans

i usually bring eight jerrycans, this allows to reach a nice refuel point in the area. also, not all windscreens need to be repaired, i have a Mil with Glass4-Glass6 in red condition and it still doesnt leak. I cant 100% say though which exact windscreens _need_ to be repaired though, so its always better to fix them all.

both aircraft have the same fuel capacity and range

Mi 17 is faster and more powerful then the huey so more fuel will be needed to start up... and to go 200m off the ground maybe 1 can. To play it safe and if its in perfect condition 4 cans will get you somewhere, if damaged you could fall out of the sky at any moment.... jk but never fly if anything is less than faded green/yellow.

I always say when flying and driving...

Orange and red, f**k up once and you‘ll be dead

Because everything on the internet is true? The Mi is faster by leaps and bounds thus if they have the same kpg/mpg rating and the same fuel tank size and range as stated above the MI still moves faster and will in turn get you further. But also depends if youre on a private hive server or not because arma 2 spawned mi17_ep1 goes further then the vanilla dayz mi17_dz.

Broken Glass and Broken parts no Longer drain fuel from choppers. All that needs done is to add about 15-20 Jerries to the Chopper.

Make sure everything is repaired.

Glass is a bitch and one of the most common problems to leak fuel.

Each Jerry Can is 20 litres. As Serious Stan said it can take you as far as 1,000 m to 1,250 m.
