Lost my stuff -- NOT moved to debug forest/water???

So last night after 1.7.1.2 hit I tried to play on several servers, none of which lasted more than about 5 minutes before losing connection/server crash. Eventually I gave up for the night.

Today, I log in and spawn where I'd last disconnected. However, most of my stuff was gone. My main weapon, my NV Goggles, most of my ammo, and most perplexingly, my sidearm, which had been an M1911 with about 8 mags, was replaced by a Makarov with 3 mags. I still have a lot of stuff, a bloodbag, painkillers, etc, that I had before, but the most important stuff is now gone.

It's almost like I'd been looted. While alive and not logged in.

Any chance I can get my stuff back?

EDIT: Seems this has happened to a number of other people, so I don't think I've been looted or anything. Sounds more like a shadow global item reset?
