No servers?

Recommended Posts

Just got back from a long trip abroad and installed the latest patch (1.7.1.2) and when I load the beta client I do not see any servers. What's up with that? :( Do I need to revert to 1.7.1.1 to see them?

I tried using the Six Updater to sync the server list with Gamespy and still got an empty server list. Any ideas?

Reverting to 1.7.1.1 didn't change anything. My internet is working fine, not sure what the issue is. I'm also unable to download the latest beta client (nor can I download the 701 one); the webpage loads just fine but when I click the ftp link it times out, every time. Don't know if they're related issues.

Nothing I do seems to fix this at all :( I've updated to 1.7.1.3, got the latest beta build, and still my server list is empty. Even when I use Six Updater, the server list is empty after I resync with Gamespy. Please help, I need to login so I can die! hah

Still nothing. Are there any specific ports that are required to be forwarded or anything? I was connecting fine with PPPoE in China, over a VPN, but now that I've come back to the U.S. I haven't seen a single server on my server list (currently using DSL). I can't think of why this is happening.

I figured it out. After going through all of the firewall, filtering, etc. on my router I checked my startup items and noticed that my VPN was still set to run at startup. For whatever reason, running a VPN from within the USA wouldn't load the server list. Turned it off and servers are back.

<-- idiot
