Weird Lag Problem

Hi guys,

so I've this weird lag problem with DayZ.

Whenever I join a server, the first minutes of gameplay are buttery smooth, with an estimated fps of 60+.

But continuously my framerate just keeps on dropping till it's at like 15 to 10 fps where it stays. This happens within 3 minutes from when I joined.

I tuned down all the graphics settings (postprocessing, antialising, details, shadows etc.), but none of it really helped.

At all times the task manager shows me no salient peaks in CPU, RAM or hard drive usage.

So I'm running DayZ on the following laptop:

Windows 8 - 64 bit

Intel-Core i7-2670QM

6 gigs of ram

AMD Radeon HD 6770M (together with the chipset Intel 3000HD, though that one is inactive)

Arma 2 Free + Operation Arrowhead (retail)

No ideas? Operation Arrowhead runs smooth as well..
