New CD Key - Help

So, my Arma 2 OA key was stolen, and globally banned. This is my favourite game and I want to keep playing, I don't want to waste my time with those unreliable keys for sale on hack forums, nor do I want hacks. I bought the game on Steam a while ago. I'm willing to purchase the game again, but I don't want to create a new steam account. Is there anyway that I can remove my steam version of Arma 2: OA and repurchase it, to get a NEW cd key! Please help me, I love this game. :<

When you re-install your new game from Steam the new key will overwrite the old one (as I understand it) so you just have to re-purchase it.

If your old key was stolen by malware you'll need to clean your machine first otherwise it may happen again. The best way is to format your HD and reinstall your OS.

If you've been visiting hack sites and installing software from them then that's how your key got stolen.

How can I check if the "Key stealer" is still there?

Well you can run a full virus scan but the malware is usually designed to hide itself very well so the only way to be sure is to do as I said and format your HD.

Do you know, if getting the game completely removed then repurchased will give me a NEW cd key? I don't want to buy it again and it give me my old banned key. :(

Steam Support is very good, I'm pretty sure if you explain the situation they will remove it from your library if you're going to purchase it again.
