On a weird note, on relogging it seems to have disappeared and left me a map, compass, knife, matches, watch, blood bag in its place.

So the axe is a genie. Even better!

after seeing this post i decided to re-log while i had a axe to see if anything happend to me like item wise, and nothing! still got my axe and all items accounted for, I also managed to play for a solid hour and half with no problems, only reason i came off was because the server was getting dark :)

Is it bad that I was really considering finding an axe or crowbar to carry with me around servers, just so I could use it to crash the artificially dark ones (servers that somehow remove the moon just to make it darker) until they restarted with proper lighting?

Maybe it was something to do with the "axe ammo" I'm not sure, but I'm not complaining, I'll stick to shotguns for now. Feels more authentically zombie-y when you've got naught but an axe in a barn full of zombies
