installation problems

So I orginally heard about this game from captain sparkles on youtube. i watched gameplay vids and found out this was the kind of game i had been looking for since forever ago. too bad I'm probably the least talented person when it comes to mods. so i have the mod folders downloaded, and combined operations. but everytime i try to join a server via dayz commander, it always say " addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_dubbing_counterattack' so i click continue and then it says "no entry 'bin\config.bin/cfgvehicles/metis.turncoef'. so i click continue again and it brings me to the main menu. have looked everywhere spending 3 days straight trying to figure this out.

Download and install combined ops, run both to main menu.

Download dayz commander - install dayz. Done.

should i reinstall combined ops? i dont have the steam version i bought it off amazon so it comes as separate games...

Sounds like your short cut is wrong, or something is not installed.

im going to reinstall arma 2 and OA then add the @dayz folder to OA? then create a shortcut and put this in the target? so confused.

Yes - Make sure you run them both after install,

Make sure they are updated to latest patch.

Add the beta patch.

And add the "-mod=......" to your shortcut target line.

sounds easy enough, i know how to install the updates with via commander but how about the beta patch? same thing or is it for dayz itself?

Step 1: Download combined assault

Step 2: Load both ArmA 2, and ArmA 2 OA to the main menu.

Step 3: Download DayZ Commander from this website

Step 4: In the top right corner of DayZ commander, click the yellow update/install button.

Step 5: Install the latest version of DayZ, and the ArmA 2 Beta Patch.

Step 6: Choose the server of your choice, join it, and tada!
