Private Servers

Alright, I'm new to this game, and I was wondering: If I play on a private server for a few hours and then abort, will my character/gear be saved if I go back onto that same server? Thank you.

If it's the same server, generally yes. There are some private servers that for whatever reason don't save location or at all, but you'll find that out quickly, plus I don't recommend playing on those servers anyways.

I'm not much of a private hive playing in the first place, and I didn't not which server did that, but thankfully they are few and far between.

Just check out the private hive discussion section of the forum and browse around.

Balota Buddies! Great admins and community. I've never had a problem with hackers on there either.

Private hives are screwy. Roll-backs, restarts, admins, and other things can mess up your gear and location, but for what's SUPPOSED to happen, yes, your gear and location will be saved, spare the servers that run maps like Celle in which you pick up alternative clothing you lose it on startup.

Play Celle, it's great.

Be warned, it's fairly flat, but really pretty.
