veteran player looking for place to stay

hi everyone,

i'm not a new player, but figured out that this post best fits into this thread section.

so, i'm a experienced player looking for a stable home server for setting up camp and stuff. looking for a stable population, some pvp, but not all the time (maybe people ask first, shoot bullets after ? :D , also random teaming up would be a nice change of pace ), map maybe cherno or celle (love the map, hate the loot bugs right know), starting stuff could be minimal, custom building would be nice, not too many vehicles, and some base-building functions maybe? (at least, give me an entrenching tool and some sandbags, goddamit :rolleyes: )

i know, its a big wishlist, but i've played on so much servers, build up camps, just to see them going down. with me, there are 3 more regular players searching for a new base. we're located in austria, so any european server would be nice.

Hey, have you tried DayZ Origins? It's a really awesome DayZ mod (yes, mod for a mod). I've pretty much given up on DayZ until I stumbled upon Origins, now I'm playing a lot. I mean, really a lot.

• The map is Taviana, I think it's much better than Cherno, kinda better feel to it with the big abandoned cities.
  
• A humanity system with different skins and levels.
  
• Survivor made vehicles with an option to upgrade them. Mad Max, eh?
  
• An awesome island called Salvation City, that's where the best gear is. You need to have a heli or a boat to get there, but beware of aggressive NPCs.
  
• You can build your own house and a garage, too. How sweet is that?
  

It's so awesome. Give it a go. Also, I've been playing for a couple of months and I have only encountered a hacker once, that's a big plus.

Already tried origins, but for me it is too far away from the core idea of dayz, and i also find the handling of the "endgame" not very well executed. Maybe it is just the color palette of the taviana map, but i am not getting warm with origins.

hey ghostfall,

if you are in europe i think i got what you need: Come to AWA private hive (http://awkack.org).

Its mostly vanilla except for a few custom locations and donaters get a special information about vehicle spawns. Its 3 stable servers in UK which are well populated. I play there most of the times...

p.s. tents are broken atm but i think that is a gerneral problem

Big thx for the reply, will definitly check that one out, only thing which doesnt sound right to me is the "Pay-to-drive" stuff :), but i fully understand hosting servers is expensive, no pun intended :)

Me and my boyfriend put up a server cuz we got tired of jerks, lol to say it nice, and we have about a 10-13 person playerbase right now, and only like 2 bandit that play all the time and are friendly most of the time. They get on mumble/vent with us. But for the most part we are a friendly server looking to get more players :) Check us out if you have time, we are on now, and F8L3RR0R is my boyfriend, and the main admin and plays alot thru the night/morning hours. As i said mumble, we do have it you can join to chit chat with us. Here is more info about our server:

found a celle server yesterday with the base building mod enabled :) this will be my home, a dream come true!

all i need now is the god-like entrenching tool, and i will rock :P

there are private servers in just the DayZ mod that have base building? I love this feature so I won't have to go to the DayZ origin mod to enjoy it??

Is it really that strange to see a girl in the fourms LOL I guess i only have known of two girls that play this game and i have been playing since it released LOL Im sure there are more girls that play they prolly dont tell anyone tho, trust me i understand why LOL You guys should to :) Been a gammer for a long time so dealt with some strange stuff :) when it comes to guys/gamming. One memory in paticiual was on wow and a certian server moonguard i think...didnt stay on that server long LOL. Anywho happy gamming all!

I ended up joining the Planet F8L server and I'll probably end up staying there and making it my main. Looking forward to exploring more and building up a solid base. Ghostfall or anyone else who joins this server and would like to team up let me know (my in-game name currently is "Kevin".. I'm tying to figure out how to change that lol)! I'm a new player and looking for a little interaction and teamwork!
